AGENDA For A Meeting Of The Lancaster County Board Of Commissioners To Be Held Tuesday, September 15, 1998 At 1:30 P.M. In The County Commissioners Hearing Room, First Floor, County-City Building. 1) MINUTES: Approval of the minutes of the Board of Commissioners meetings held on Tuesday, September 8, 1998. (A copy of the minutes is on file in the Office of the Lancaster County Clerk.) 2) CLAIMS: Approval of all claims processed through Tuesday, September 15, 1998. 3) ITEMS OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: It is the policy of the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners to accommodate the public to the greatest extent possible. Therefore, this agenda has been prepared with items of greatest public interest at the beginning with more routine items toward the end as a courtesy to those who wish to speak with the County Board at this meeting. A County Change of Zone, from AG Agricultural to AGR Agricultural Residential, requested by J. Michael Rierden on behalf of Merle Jahde, on property located at the southwest corner of Southwest 56th Street and West Denton Road in Lancaster County, Nebraska. A County Special Permit, Yankee Lake Acres, for authority to develop 15 residential lots within 1,320 feet of Yankee Hill Lake, located one-quarter mile south of the corner of Southwest 56th Street and West Denton Road in Lancaster County, Nebraska. A resolution in connection with a County Special Permit, requested by Lynn Cunningham on behalf of Bernadette Thiel, to place a temporary mobile home residence on property located at the northeast corner of South 110th Street and Stagecoach Road in Lancaster County, Nebraska. A request from the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture to amend an application for a Special Designated License extending the hours for a beer garden in connection with the Hartman Llama Show and Sale on Saturday, September 19, 1998 from Noon to 6 p.m. to Noon to 9 p.m. (19982209) 6) NEW BUSINESS: A. An agreement with Unidose LTC Pharmacy for pharmacy services to the Attention Center for Youth, at fees as specified in the agreement. (19982212) B. An agreement with the United States Department of the Interior to share costs for the operation and computation of records at four gaging stations, in the amount of $6,540. (19982213) C. A political subdivision tort claim filed against the Lancaster County Attorney's office by Cynthia Mahlin for damages. (19982067) D. A political subdivision tort claim filed against the Lancaster County Sheriff's office by Cynthia Mahlin for damages. (19981265) E. A political subdivision tort claim filed against Corrections by Donald R Williams, in the amount of $3, for lost property. (19982211) F. Appointment of Shari Clarke to the Lincoln-Lancaster Women's Commission, term to expire March 1, 1999. (19982196) G. A request from Dennis McDonald, an employee of County Property Management, for early retirement due to disability. (19982210) 7) CONSENT ITEMS: These are items of business before the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners which have been previously supplied to each Commissioner in writing, which are relatively routine and which are expected to be adopted without dissent. Any individual item may be removed for special discussion and consideration by a Commissioner or by any member of the public without prior notice. Unless there is an exception, these items will be approved as one with a single vote of the Board of Commissioners. These items are approval of: A. Contracts relating to road improvements with the following: Charles A and Beverly J Bennet at a location on Southwest 12th Street near West Saltillo Road. This is a land donation. The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 17, 1998 at 8 a.m. in the conference room located immediately west of the County Commissioners Chambers, Room 113, on the first floor of the County-City Building. The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners meeting which is broadcast live at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays will be re- broadcast at 6:30 p.m. on Cablevision Channel 5. 9) EMERGENCY ITEMS AND OTHER BUSINESS: 10) PENDING: A. Comprehensive Plan Amendment Number 27b, pursuant to the 1998 Comprehensive Plan Annual Review, requested by Peter Katt on behalf of Steve Champoux, to revise the Land Use Plan to change 124 acres from Agricultural to Low Density Residential at the northwest corner of 134th and "A" Streets in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
