2)  CLAIMS: Approval of all claims processed through Tuesday,
    August 18, 1998.

3)  ITEMS OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: It is the policy of the Lancaster
    County Board of Commissioners to accommodate the public to the
    greatest extent possible.  Therefore, this agenda has been prepared
    with items of greatest public interest at the beginning with more
    routine items toward the end as a courtesy to those who wish to
    speak with the County Board at this meeting.  If you are here to
    participate on an item and need special consideration because of a
    schedule conflict or some other problem, would you please let us know
    now so we can try to meet your needs.

    *   Presentation of the Volunteer of the Month Award to Dr. James

    A.  An agreement with the City of Hickman for law enforcement
	services, beginning September 1, 1998 and ending August 31,
	1999, at a rate of $3,278.99 per month, plus overtime. (19981898)

    B.  An agreement with the Village of Bennet for law enforcement
	services, beginning September 1, 1998 and ending August 31,
	1999, on an hourly basis, plus overtime. (19981899)

    C.  A labor agreement with the Lancaster County Deputy Sheriff's
	Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 29, beginning
	September, 1998 and ending September, 2000. (19981901)

    D.  A reciprocal lease agreement with the Priestly Fraternity of St.
	Peter for parking lot access at St. Francis Chapel located at

    E.  An agreement with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department
	for physician services at the Attention Center for Youth,
	effective upon execution of the agreement and at rates as

	for a construction/renovation project, beginning February 1,

    I.  Authorization of the installation of the following traffic

	Street, one north of Raymond Road for northbound traffic and

    J.  Recommendation from the Purchasing Agent and the County Engineer
	to award a bid to Yant Equipment, Inc., in the amount of $10,776,
	for aboveground horizontal fuel storage tanks with metal dikes.

	for 1996, in the amount of $128.10 and for 1997, in the amount

John Austin appeared and stated he previously indicated he was going to
donate some land to Lancaster County, but he can't donate any land to
Lancaster County because he doesn't own it.  Austin also discussed some
concerns regarding Pioneers Park.
