County Board of Commissioners to accommodate the public to the

interpretation of the Lancaster County Zoning Resolution,
Sections 2.067 and 15.001, regarding definitions and conditions

to homeless persons who qualify, $32,500 will be funded by a

Health Center for emergency protective custody services to
mentally ill patients, at a rate of $78 a day per individual,

5) EXECUTIVE SESSION: Offer to lump sum settle workers'
compensation claim of Candace Krueger
6) ANNOUNCEMENTS:
A. The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners will not hold a
meeting on Thursday, November 27, 1997 due to the holiday,
instead a meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 11
a.m. in the Personnel Conference Room on the first floor of the
County-City Building.
B. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 1997 at
1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room on the first floor
of the County-City Building regarding the adoption of a $15
impoundment fee for animals running at large and increasing to
$25 for a second offense and $40 for a third offense, and a $10
deposit for impounded dogs and household cats which have not
received a rabies vaccination.
C. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at
1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room on the first floor
of the County-City Building regarding the sale and fair market
value of St. Francis Chapel located at 1145 South Street.
D. The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners meeting which is
broadcast live at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays will be re-broadcast at
6:30 p.m. on Cablevision Channel 5.

Christian Records Services, Inc. subject to the applicant
titling and registering the vehicle in their name. On call

Campbell explained the Board had received an opinion from the County
Attorney's Office indicating that Building and Safety would be resolving
the issue (Exhibit A). She added that at the request of the Building
and Safety Department and the County Attorney's Office the zoning appeal
would be withdrawn from the agenda.
The Building and Safety Department, Campbell said, has indicated to the
Board that the explanation by Mr. Ivins was sufficient for them to close
the issue.
At the direction of the Vice Chair County Board of Zoning Appeals, Appeal
105 was withdrawn from the agenda.

Diane Staab, Deputy County Attorney, appeared and explained the Sterns'
have a septic system and electric service in an alley that the County
owns. She said the County desires to give them an easement and that Don
Thomas, County Engineer, has approved it.
MOTION: Hudkins moved and Tussing seconded approval. On call Hudkins,
Svoboda, Tussing and Campbell voted aye. Motion carried.
5) EXECUTIVE SESSION--Offer to lump sum settle workers'

MOTION: At 1:50 p.m. Hudkins moved and Tussing seconded to enter into
Executive Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel
matter. On call Svoboda, Tussing, Campbell and Hudkins voted
aye. Motion carried.
MOTION: At 2:11 p.m. Hudkins moved and Tussing seconded to exit Executive
Session. On call Campbell, Hudkins, Svoboda and Tussing voted
aye. Motion carried.
