Children's Author to Visit Library

Lincoln City Libraries invites elementary-age children and their families to a free presentation Monday, November 6 by Minnesota children's author Tracy Nelson Maurer. Maurer will read from her book "Noah Webster's Fighting Words" at 6:30 p.m. at Walt Branch Library, 6701 S. 14th Street.

Maurer, author of "John Deere, That's Who!," has written more than 100 children's books on crafts, sports cars, extreme sports, cheerleading and more. During the interactive presentation, Maurer will discuss elements of the book-making process, such as research, word choice, sentence structure and revisions.
