Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) invites the public to a Maker Space open house, Saturday, January 7 to showcase new traveling kits of Maker Space tools and projects designed to inspire young people to create projects in an innovatively and collaborative way. The LINC-in@LCL, a "Learn, Innovate, eNgineer and Create" event, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th Street.
Following brief demonstrations of each process, participants will be encouraged to explore and create using the new items, including a sewing machine, Ozobot robots, a Makey Makey kit, Zoob building sets, Lego Mindstorms and much more. A 3D printer will also be demonstrated. LCL also invites community members with tools and skills to share their expertise at the open house.
