21 SPORTS, part of the educational access channel on Time Warner Cable in Lincoln, has announced the schedule for its Nebraska Wesleyan University and Lincoln high school football coverage this fall. This is the fifth year that 21 SPORTS has carried Wesleyan and high school football on a tape-delayed basis. The channel will once again carry all Wesleyan home games this year. Viewing times can be found on the City Web site at lincoln.ne.gov (click on the 5 CITY-TV logo). Viewers have several options for watching the games:
“KOLN/KGIN and My TV are excited to again this year have a partnership with 21 SPORTS,” said Troy Frankforter, Operations Manager for KOLN/KGIN. “My TV is always looking for local programming to spotlight such as 21 SPORTS’ Nebraska Wesleyan football games, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring state college athletics to our viewing area.” “We continue to receive very positive feedback from viewers who’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Nebraska Wesleyan and high school games,” said Bill Luxford, Operations Manager for 5 CITY-TV and 21 SPORTS. “We will once again partner with University of Nebraska broadcasting department to help staff these games.” Luxford said about 65 sporting events were aired on 21 SPORTS last season. Veteran sportscaster Jeff Motz will again handle the play-by-play duties for the Nebraska Wesleyan games. “The Nebraska Wesleyan football program is very excited to kickoff the 2008 football campaign,” said Nebraska Wesleyan Head Coach Brian Keller. “We are proud to once again have our good friends from 21 SPORTS on our sidelines bringing the 100th year of Prairie Wolf football to our fans across the state.” Nebraska Wesleyan football games scheduled for 21 SPORTS coverage are:
