<p>Media Release</p> <p>September 24, 2020

At approximately 0730 9/24/2020, members of the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force observed a 19 year old man believed to be wanted on several felony warrants exit a residence on N. 49th street, enter a vehicle and proceed southbound on N. 48th from Holdrege St. The Task Force attempted to effect an arrest at N. 48th and Vine. The suspect vehicle was in the outside traffic lane and was boxed in by several unmarked vehicles displaying red and blue lights. As members of the Task Force approached the suspects vehicle, he put the vehicle in reverse, ramming a Task Force vehicle, then putting the vehicle in drive, striking another Task Force vehicle and then striking a citizen's Hyundai in the passenger side that was in the inside traffic lane before fleeing the scene. He was not pursued. No one in the Hyundai was injured, nor were any of the Task Force members.  $6,000 damage was sustained by the two Task Force vehicles, $900 damage was sustained by the Hyundai. 

The suspect in this hit and run is believed to be Duop Wiyual Duop, age 19, b/m 6', 135 lbs wanted on Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear for Distributing a Controlled Substance a Class 2A Felony and Possession of Money with intent to violate NRS 28-416 a Class 4 Felony; Failure to Appear for Tamper w/Evidence and Possession of Money with intent to violate NRS 28-416 both Class 4 Felony; Failure to Appear for Attempt of a Class 2 Felony, a class 4 Felony.
