LSO Investigates Fatal Crash at NW 84th and West O C6003956

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Monday, May 25, around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of NW 84th and West O Street.

Based on the preliminary investigation, a Ford Focus was traveling southbound on NW 84th Street when it failed to stop at the intersection and collided with an eastbound Nissan Kicks on West O Street.

A passenger in the Ford Focus was ejected during the crash and taken to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The identity of the deceased is not being released pending family notification. In total, eight people were transported to area hospitals for treatment – three from the Ford Focus and five from the Nissan Kicks.

The LSO Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the crash. Speed, impairment, distracted driving, and seatbelt usage are all under investigation.
