The “Make It Click” mobilization is a nationwide campaign to promote awareness and increase the use of seatbelts and child restraint systems. The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the mobilization by increasing the number of deputies patrolling in marked patrol cruisers.
Starting on Friday, May 15, 2026, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office will have additional deputies running traffic on an individual basis. The traffic selective enforcement will continue through Sunday, May 31, 2026. These additional deputies will be utilized for saturation patrol and enforce traffic law violations throughout Lancaster County.
Overtime for the additional deputies working during the mobilization will be paid through a mini grant funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
