Narcotics Arrest - Search for Suspect

Investigators with the Lancaster County Criminal Interdiction Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near mile marker 416 at 12:22 pm on September 19, 2025. During the traffic stop, investigators located approximately forty (40) pounds of suspected methamphetamine along with a firearm. Both occupants fled from the traffic stop on foot, southbound into a wooded area. Law enforcement officers secured the area and searched for the driver and passenger using a helicopter, drones, K9 units. The driver was located and taken into custody a short time later, but the passenger could not be located and remains at large. The passenger is described as a Hispanic male wearing dark pants and a dark colored jacket with no shoes. If seen, please do not approach this individual but contact 911. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at (402) 441-6500 or CrimeStoppers at (402) 475-3600. The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Nebraska State Patrol, Lincoln Police Department, and Cass County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this case. This is an ongoing investigation. Additional information about the party arrested and pending charges will be released next week.
