Suspicious Death Investigation

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death near Hwy 77 and W. Pioneers. At approximately 9:43am, authorities were dispatched to the wooded area at the northwest corner on a report of a deceased individual.
During the preliminary investigation, LSO crime scene technicians observed the body has been at the location for an extended period of time. Based off of details at the scene, including the location and proximity to Tyler Goodrich’s last known location, investigators have been in contact with Mr. Goodrich’s family.
The investigation is being treated as a suspicious death, not a homicide, and is still ongoing to confirm the individual’s identity. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, March 10th.
