Semi Truck Pedestrian Crash C4002569

On April 6, 2024, at 5:38 am the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, along with Malcom Rural Fire, and Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a semi-truck and pedestrian crash on I-80 west bound near mile marker 393.

Lincoln Star Care was summoned to the scene and transported the pedestrian, who has been identified as Bryan Odvody Martinez (25) of Lincoln.  He is in an area hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the semi has been identified as Alice Phillips (62) from Colorado.

The crash is under investigation, and it has not been determined why Bryan Odvody Martinez was at this location walking.

At the present time the inside lane of I-80 west bound by mile marker 393 has been opened, but still very congested with vehicles in the area. 

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the Lincoln Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol for their assistance at the scene.
